Embryology Services

RGI's IVF Lab was established in 1989. Our College of American Pathologists (CAP) certified embryology lab operates year-round and employs four embryologists and additional support personnel. Our IVF laboratory program includes services in all aspects of ART: oocyte/embryo culture, insemination (including ICSI), blastocyst culture, embryo transfer, embryo and oocyte vitrification, all types of embryo biopsies, semen analysis, semen cryopreservation.

Our IVF lab was one of the first in the United States to offer Preimplantation Genetic Testing for Aneuploidy/diagnosis (PGT-A/PGT-M).

RGI provides the secure storage of frozen oocytes, embryos and semen for more than 5000 patients.

RGI offers the traveling embryology services for all type of embryo biopsies.

RGI IVF LAB is capable to perform:

1. Both Consequential and Simultaneous 1st and 2nd Polar Body Removal on day 0 and day 1 of human embryo development for Diagnosis of over 200 different Single Gene Disorders and/or 24 chromosomes testing for aneuploidy using either PCR or NGS techniques.
    

2. Blastomere Biopsy is conducting on day 3 of human embryo development for Diagnosis of Single Gene Disorders and/or 24 chromosomes testing for aneuploidy using either PCR or NGS techniques.
    

3. Classical Laser assisted Trophectoderm Biopsy is performing on day 5 to 7 of human embryo development for Diagnosis of Single Gene Disorders and/or 24 chromosomes testing for aneuploidy using either PCR or NGS techniques.
  

4. Innovative NO Laser assisted Trophectoderm Biopsy is performing by ONLY RGI IVF LAB embryologists on day 5 of human embryo development for Diagnosis of Single Gene Disorders and/or 24 chromosomes testing for aneuploidy.

RGI's embryology laboratory is nationally accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), certifying that the lab is one of an exclusive group of reproductive labs in the U.S. that meets the highest standards of excellence as recognized by its peers. It is directed by our certified embryology laboratory director, Dr Svetlana Rechitsky, PhD.
